Square Enix recently announced that Visions of Mana will be released on August 29 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. This news came with the unveiling of a new trailer for the game, which provides viewers with almost four minutes of gameplay footage and key details about the upcoming RPG.

For those unfamiliar with the game, Visions of Mana marks the first new mainline entry in the Mana franchise in 15 years. The Mana series, which has seen a total of 17 games over its 30-year history, actually originated as Final Fantasy Adventure back in 1991.

The trailer introduces us to the five playable characters in the game: Soul Guard Val, Oracle of Wind Careena, Radiant Sword Morley, Queen of the Deep Palamena, and Woodland Custodian Julei. Players will have the ability to switch between these characters to form three-person parties, and they can also adjust each character’s class to align with different elements. Additionally, non-player companions will be available to aid the player’s party during combat.

The standard edition of Visions of Mana will be priced at $59.99, while a Collector’s Edition will be available for $199.99. The Collector’s Edition includes a Ramcoh plush, the Art of Mana special issue, a Visions of Mana original soundtrack collector’s edition special box, and the physical game. However, it’s important to note that the PlayStation 4 standard and collector’s editions will not be released in the U.S.

Visions of Mana is set to launch on August 29 for various platforms, and fans can anticipate its arrival by watching the reveal trailer and gameplay footage that have been released thus far.
