Super Mario Galaxy + Super Mario Galaxy 2 just dropped this week, and boy, oh boy, it’s packed with all sorts of awesome upgrades. The game has been given a resolution boost on the Switch 2, making it look even more stunning. But wait, there’s more! The game now supports the Joy-Con 2 mouse mode feature, which is a pretty sweet addition if you ask me.
So, before you go ahead and give this new feature a whirl, there’s something you should know. This mouse mode can only be used in the ‘Co-Star Mode’ when playing with a second player. Our buddies over at Nintendo Life have spilled all the beans on this new feature in their review:
“Co-Star Mode’ is back, allowing players to team up with a friend to collect Star Bits or take down enemies. Player Two gets to shake their Joy-Con around to move the onscreen cursor, but if you’re on Switch 2, you can also take advantage of the console’s mouse functionality, and let me tell you, it works like a charm. Chances are you’ll probably be flying solo through both games, but having this little extra feature is a nice touch.”
Well, if you were hoping to go solo and enjoy the mouse mode, tough luck, my friend. You’ll need to rope in a buddy if you want to give it a shot. And remember, this cool new control mode is exclusive to Switch 2 users only.
Mark your calendars for 2nd October, because that’s when Super Mario Galaxy + Super Mario Galaxy 2 will be hitting the shelves. And hey, if you’re not looking to grab both games, you can always snag them separately from the Switch eShop. What do you think about all this? Drop a comment and share your thoughts.
