So, like, yesterday we talked about those really cool ‘Black Bolt’ and ‘White Flare’ Pokémon Trading Card Game sets that are gonna hit Japan soon, right? Well, guess what? They’re actually gonna come out in the West too — the first time we’re getting a dual set in English, how exciting is that?
Both Black Bolt and White Flare are set to drop in the UK on 18th July, with a bunch of set products rolling out in the following weeks. According to the official website, these expansions are packing over 170 cards, an illustration rare card for all 156 Unova ‘mon, and at least five special illustration rare cards and Pokémon ex cards. Fancy stuff, huh?
Oh, and let’s not forget about the new ‘BWR’ rarity that’s gonna be a thing now. It’s got some snazzy designs for at least three Unova legendaries, so keep an eye out for those. Elite Trainer Boxes, Binder collections, and Mini Tins will all be available on launch day, so get ready to splurge on some goodies. Gotta catch ’em all, right?
For those who’ve been collecting Japanese Pokémon cards, a dual set like this might not be too surprising. Normally, these collections get combined for an English release, but this pair is so special that Black Bolt and White Flare won’t be getting the usual Booster Box treatment. Still, there’s gonna be plenty of products to look forward to throughout July and August, so keep those wallets handy.
