The Nintendo Switch 2 is one heck of a cool piece of hardware, let me tell you. I mean, have you seen how Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade looks on it? It’s like, seriously amazing. And it’s not just this game, we’ve also got Cyberpunk 2077 and Star Wars Outlaws showing off what this console can really do when it comes to handling graphically intensive ports.
According to director Naoki Hamaguchi, keeping the lighting just right in Final Fantasy VII Remake on the Switch 2 was super important for making the game look as awesome as it does. They had to make some sacrifices in other areas to keep the game running smoothly at a stable 30fps, but hey, it was totally worth it.
“I think lighting is, like, the most important thing when it comes to graphics quality these days,” Hamaguchi said. And you know what? I think he’s onto something there. He’s also super grateful that his team has set a standard for delivering high-end games on the Switch 2. And he’s got some advice for all those other developers out there looking to port their games to the Switch 2 in the future.
“You just gotta use the hardware the right way, man. That’s the key to giving players the quality they expect,” Hamaguchi said. And you know what? I think he’s right. The Nintendo Switch 2 is seriously one impressive piece of tech.
We’re only a few months away from the launch of Final Fantasy VII Remake on the Switch 2, and I gotta say, I’m pretty pumped to see how it all plays out. It’s gonna be awesome to see how the game holds up on Nintendo’s new hardware, and I can’t wait for Rebirth and the third entry to follow suit in the future. Oh, and by the way, did you know that Nintendo Life’s horror fanatic, Ollie, is a big fan of Resident Evil and Silent Hill? When he’s not knee-deep in horror lore, he likes to kick back with a good horror book and a nice cup of tea. Plus, he’s into long walks and listens to everything from TOOL to Chuck Berry. Pretty cool, right?
So yeah, the Nintendo Switch 2 is shaping up to be one heck of a console, and I can’t wait to see what other awesome games come out for it in the future. Not really sure why all this matters, but hey, it’s fun to talk about, right? Just remember, use that hardware the right way, and you’ll be golden. Nintendo Switch 2, you’re pretty darn amazing.
