Have you ever thought about how you want your Switch to look? Well, if you happen to be in San Francisco and you’re feeling a bit adventurous, Nintendo is giving you the chance to fully customize the color of your brand-new Switch OLED at their new store. This means you can choose the Joy-Con colors and even the Joy-Con wrist straps. The only downside is that your choices for the dock are a bit limited, but hey, you can’t have it all, right? IGN recently showed a sneak peek of this process, and once you’ve made your design decisions, the lovely staff at the store will put it all together for you and box it up on the same day. How cool is that?

Now, before you get too excited, this customization offer isn’t available everywhere. But fear not! In other parts of the world, like Japan, fans can also go online to Nintendo’s website and select their preferred Joy-Con colors and straps. If you’re not lucky enough to have this option nearby, don’t worry. The beauty of the Switch is that you can always buy these parts separately and mix and match them to your heart’s content. Sadly, there’s only one version of the Switch 2 system dock and Joy-Con 2 controller being offered, so you won’t get the same level of customization there (for now, at least). But who knows what the future holds, right? And on a related note, Nintendo’s San Francisco store will also be offering mini sculpture replicas. Pretty neat, huh?

So, tell me, what does your Switch look like? Have you gone for some special Joy-Con colors or maybe a themed dock? Share your thoughts in the comments below because I’d love to hear all about it. And if you’re not really sure why this matters, well, maybe it’s just a fun way to show off your unique style and make your Switch truly yours. After all, why settle for the standard colors when you can jazz it up a bit, right?
