Natsume is all set to release a double-pack of Harvest Moon games on the Switch come 3rd July 2025. That’s right, folks, you can now get your hands on Harvest Moon: The Lost Valley & Skytree Village in one neat bundle. Pre-orders are live for the physical edition, and if you do, you’ll snag yourself a cute little acrylic standee featuring some adorable farm animals. The catch? You can only grab this online through The Natsume Store.
CEO of Natsume, Inc. Hiro Maekawa has made some bold promises about the upcoming release, stating that the team has been busting their butts to optimize these 3DS titles for the Switch. According to Maekawa, this means we can expect top-notch quality and updated features. Fingers crossed that this paves the way for more classic titles making their way to modern consoles.
Now, here’s the tea. The original 3DS versions of these games didn’t exactly set the world on fire when they dropped in 2014 and 2016. For instance, we only gave The Lost Valley a measly 4/10 back in the day. Ouch. But hey, it’s been a hot minute since then, and it seems like the Switch version is a lot easier on the eyes. Maybe there’s hope for redemption after all?
If you’re a die-hard Harvest Moon fan, you might want to keep an eye out for the Special Edition being put out by Numskull Games. This fancy version comes with two sticker sheets, two diorama backgrounds, a soundtrack CD, and an A4 double-sided poster. Not too shabby, right?
On the flip side, Story of Seasons — the OG Harvest Moon series — is gearing up to drop its next game, Grand Bazaar, on both the Switch and Switch 2 in August. This game is a remake of the classic DS title, Harvest Moon: Grand Bazaar. Whether you’re into Harvest Moon or Story of Seasons, it looks like farm sim enthusiasts will have plenty to keep them busy as the new consoles hit the scene.
