It’s mid-August, which means it’s time for Gamescom 2024. The event will start with the Gamescom Opening Night Live showcase in Cologne, Germany. Geoff Keighley will be hosting the event where new trailers and information about upcoming games will be revealed.

The Gamescom 2024 Opening Night Live is scheduled for Tuesday, August 20, 2024. Here are the different time zones for the event:
– North America: 11am PDT / 2pm EDT
– UK: 7pm BST
– Europe: 8pm CEST
– Australia: 4am AEST (August 23)

You can watch the Opening Night Live showcase on the Game Awards YouTube channel and Twitch channel. Additionally, you can stream the event live on Nintendo Life.

The duration of the Opening Night Live showcase is not confirmed, but based on previous events, it is expected to last around 2 hours. Nintendo will not be participating in the event as they have already announced their absence from Gamescom.

While Nintendo won’t be present, there may still be some Switch games featured during the showcase. Confirmed games to be shown include Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, Sid Meier’s Civilization VII (confirmed for Switch), Kingdom Come Deliverance II, Dune: Awakening, Monster Hunter Wilds, Lost Records: Bloom & Rage, and a new game from Tarsier Studios. Sega might also showcase Sonic X Shadow Generations for the Switch.
