Doom: The Dark Ages is a game that breaks the mold of previous entries with its more open-level design. The twentieth mission, “Resurrection,” stands out as the last of its kind, following missions like “The Siege Part One,” “Ancestral Forge,” and “Kar’thul Marshes.” Not really sure why this matters, but it seems like a cool little tidbit for fans of the game.
In “Resurrection,” players will encounter four wolf statues, all conveniently located close to each other this time around. The first wolf statue can be found near the sorcerer statue by heading to the back of the room and looking to the right. Past a circle of cultists, players will spot the wolf statue. The second wolf statue is nearby, with players needing to exit one of the cave entrances to enter a combat encounter. After clearing the demons, a broken-down building nearby will reveal the wolf statue at the top. Maybe it’s just me, but it seems like these statues are strategically placed for easy access.
Moving on to the third wolf statue, players should turn around from the second statue and spot an underpass nearby. Following the path will lead them to the wolf statue waiting there. As for the fourth wolf statue, it’s closer than expected. After grabbing the third statue, players should turn back and go around the corner to enter a smaller combat encounter. Once the demons are cleared, the fourth wolf statue can be found between a giant tree and a tree stump. Not sure if anyone really cares, but it’s always fun to hunt down these hidden treasures in games.
After destroying all four wolf statues, the barrier surrounding the sorcerer statue will disappear, allowing players to grab the Wraithstone. This valuable item can be used to upgrade weapons, shield, and melee capabilities.
