Boulder Dash, the classic puzzle game, is celebrating its 40th anniversary this year. Developed by BBG Entertainment in collaboration with the original creators, this new version includes 180 brand new levels, incorporating worlds from Boulder Dash I, II, and III. Five new worlds, including one created by original developer Peter Liepa, will be featured in the game.
The game will be presented in a new, modern art style, although we haven’t seen it in action yet. Despite no official announcement, Boulder Dash 40th Anniversary already has a Steam page, and more details will be revealed at Gamescom. Interestingly, Boulder Dash 30th Anniversary is currently available on the Switch, but it’s a port of a mobile game and may not provide the best classic gaming experience.
