A few months ago, we asked Nintendo Life readers to participate in our Switch Summer Survey to gather insights about all things Nintendo and Switch as we anticipate the next console. The survey included 70 questions covering various topics such as the Switch eShop, Joy-Con drift, favorite Nintendo games, and more. We received responses from approximately 6,000 to 10,000 individuals, and we appreciate everyone who took the time to share their thoughts.

Let’s delve into some key findings from the survey.

**You & Your Gaming Habits**
– Nearly 50% of respondents are from the US, with 20% from the UK and the rest from other countries.
– 52% of participants have at least one child in the household, and 25% play Switch games together.
– Most respondents play up to ten hours of games per week, with action, adventure, platformer, and RPG being the preferred genres.
– Breath of the Wild, Animal Crossing, and Tears of the Kingdom are the top three games with the most hours played.

**Switch – Games, Online, Hardware**
– 56% of participants own a standard Switch, 16% have a Switch Lite, and 27% own a Switch OLED.
– The most popular micro SD card capacity is 128GB.
– 99% of respondents have a Nintendo Account, and 17% have accounts in multiple regions.
– 53% have experienced Joy-Con drift issues, while 64% prefer the Pro Controller over Joy-Con.
– 51% rate the Switch’s battery life as good, and 55% mostly play in docked mode.

**You & Nintendo (Life)**
– Most participants visit Nintendo Life for news, reviews, and previews, with 54% considering it their primary source of Nintendo info.
– 30% say Nintendo Life reviews often influence their buying decisions.
– The Legend of Zelda is the favorite Nintendo series among respondents, followed by Super Mario and Pokémon.

**Switch 2 & The Future**
– 31% would like to see Game Pass on Switch, while others are interested in better performance and features for the next console.
– The most desired features for Switch 2 include better performance in handheld and docked modes, improved ports of multiplatform games, and a unique new feature.
