Silent Hill is now like, totally a big deal

So, like, Bloober Team’s Cronos: The New Dawn has been, like, pretty cool since it came out at the beginning of September. It’s not, like, the best thing ever, but it’s a solid survival horror game that’s found a sweet spot on the Switch 2, and people seem to be liking it so far.

The Bloober Team peeps seem to be pretty stoked about how things are going too. In a recent chat with CEO Piotr Babieno and Vice President Karolina Nowak, they spilled the beans on the game’s early sales performance. They didn’t, like, give too many deets, but they called Cronos a “huge success” and mentioned that most of the sales have been on consoles. They didn’t say much about how it’s doing on the Switch 2, but they did say that physical copies have been flying off the shelves in different places (even though there aren’t as many physical copies out there compared to other games).

Even though Cronos is doing pretty well, Bloober is, like, not planning on making any DLC or a full-on sequel right now. But they are totally down to expand on the IP in the future. They said, and I quote, “Cronos is our first major IP. The team that made it is already working on something new, but we’re definitely gonna keep this IP alive and kicking in different ways. We’ve got big dreams for it.”

But, like, the biggest thing on Bloober’s plate right now is the Silent Hill remake. Konami asked them to work on it after they did an awesome job with Silent Hill 2. Silent Hill 2 is, like, only available on the PS5 for a limited time, but who knows, maybe it’ll make its way to the Switch 2 at some point. Fingers crossed, right?

So, have you played Cronos on the Switch 2? Do you wanna see a sequel? Drop a comment and let us know what you think, dude.

Nintendo Life’s horror guru, Ollie, is all about Resident Evil and Silent Hill stuff. When he’s not knee-deep in scary games, he chills out with a horror book and a cuppa. Oh, and he’s into long walks and jamming out to all kinds of tunes from TOOL to Chuck Berry.
