Sega and Amazon recently announced a collaboration to bring a live-action series based on the popular Like a Dragon (formerly Yakuza) series to viewers. During the San Diego Comic-Con, the first teaser trailer for the series was unveiled, giving fans a glimpse of what to expect.

The Like a Dragon: Yakuza series will focus on the story of Kazuma Kiryu, played by Takeuchi Ryoma, and will follow his life during the years 1995 and 2005. The show is set in the fictional Tokyo district of Kamurochō and promises to depict the lives of intense yet passionate gangsters and individuals. The series aims to explore stories that haven’t been covered in the video games.

Viewers can look forward to a six-episode series, which will be released on Prime Video in two parts. The first three episodes are scheduled to premiere on October 24, with the remaining three episodes following on November 1. Additionally, the series will be available with subtitles and dubbing in 30 different languages to cater to a wide audience. Take Masaharu, known for his work on “100 Yen Love,” is directing Like a Dragon: Yakuza.
