Rafael Marcos, the ex-husband of María Sevilla -the former president of the Free Childhood association pardoned by the Government after being sentenced to two years and four months in prison for child abduction and the loss of parental authority over her son-, He claims 85,000 euros from the Minister for Equality, Irene Montero, for presenting him “as an abuser, both of his son and his ex-partner”.
This is stated in a statement released by the Arroyo Abogados and Novalex Spain offices, representing the interests of Marcos, in which it is announced that they have requested the holding of a conciliation act with the leader of Podemos as a prerequisite to be able to present a lawsuit for alleged illegitimate interference in the right to honor.
According to Marcos, who signs the statement, the letter requires Montero to recognize that the statements he made on May 25 at the inauguration of the new headquarters of the Women’s Institute are “uncertain and determine an interference illegitimate” in his right to honor.
Sevilla’s ex-husband assures that the minister “presented” him as an “abuser of both her son and her ex-partner” and requests that she compensate him with 85,000 euros and that, in addition, “publish rectification, at her expense and for the same medium, containing express recognition of the uncertainty of the facts that were imputed to him”.
Within the framework of the statement, it indicates that it has also requested that a conciliation act be held with the Secretary of State for Equality and for Gender Violence, Ángela Rodríguez, as a prerequisite to present a lawsuit for the same crime that it attributes to Montero: illegitimate interference in the right to honor.
The ex-husband of the former president of Infancia Libre demands that he be compensated with 65,000 euros and that he recognize that the statements he made on May 24 and 25 in different media and in the same sense as Montero are “uncertain and determine an interference illegitimate” in his right to honor.
In line, he reports that he also asks to hold a conciliation act with the journalist Ana Pardo de Vera. In her case, as a prerequisite to file a complaint for an alleged crime of slander.
He wants him to recognize that the statements he made on RTVE on May 26, “in which he stated that he had been convicted of sexual abuse and described him as a pederast, are uncertain.” Marcos demands compensation of 10,000 euros from Pardo de Vera, as well as a rectification.
