Boss Team Games recently announced the development of two new games inspired by classic horror movie franchises just in time for Halloween. One of these games is based on the iconic Halloween franchise, with the original director John Carpenter playing a significant role in the project. The second game is inspired by the Starz series Ash vs Evil Dead, a sequel to the beloved Evil Dead franchise created by Sam Raimi.

Both games, developed by WayForward, are part of the RetroRealms series and feature stunning 16-bit graphics. RetroRealms: Halloween allows players to take on the role of Michael Meyers as they navigate through retro stages reminiscent of the Halloween movies. On the other hand, Retro Realms: Ash vs Evil Dead puts players in the shoes of Ash Williams as they battle their way through the Evil Dead universe.

Scheduled for release on October 18, 2024, these games will be available individually for $24.99 USD each, or as a “Double Feature” edition for $49.99 USD. Players who pre-order the games will receive bonus characters for each game: Laurie Strode for Halloween and Kelly Maxwell for Ash vs Evil Dead. These characters come with unique playstyles, weapons, and storylines, adding depth to the gameplay experience.

While the two games are separate entities, purchasing both will unlock exclusive content for players to enjoy. Additionally, Boss Team Games is offering a Collector’s Edition of both titles for $99.99 USD, which includes a plush toy of Michael Meyers for fans to cherish.

Fans of horror games and classic movie franchises will be delighted to know that RetroRealms: Halloween and RetroRealms: Ash vs Evil Dead will be launching just before Halloween on October 18, 2024.
