So, like, if you’re keen to give Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade a whirl on the Switch 2 before committing your hard-earned cash, then you’re in luck. The director of the game, Naoki Hamaguchi, spilled the beans that Square Enix is cooking up a demo for Nintendo’s new console by the end of the year. In a recent chat with Inverse, he mentioned how this move could help out players who are still not entirely convinced if this souped-up version of the game is their cup of tea.
“I thought I’d let you know that by the end of the year, we’ll be dropping a demo for Switch 2 and Xbox. It could be a game-changer for players who are kinda on the fence or not really sure about giving it a go,” Hamaguchi shared.
He also mentioned that this demo would be a great way for players to really get a feel for the game’s full capabilities on the Switch 2. So, keep your eyes peeled for this demo, set to launch “by the end of the year.” If Square Enix decides to drop any more deets before then, you’ll be the first to know.
Just last month, Square Enix confirmed that the game would run smoothly at a “stable 30 frames per second” on the Switch 2, promising players a seamless performance and crisp visuals.
Not really sure why this matters, but do you need to be convinced to snag this Switch 2 release with a demo, or are you already counting down the days until it hits the shelves in January 2026? Let us know in the comments below.
