A man whose identity has not been provided has been arrested as a result of a sexual assault on a minor in a town in León, as confirmed by the Government Delegate in Castilla y León, Virginia Barcones.

The highest representative of the central Administration in the community, who this afternoon held a meeting in Valladolid with the Government delegate against Gender Violence, Victoria Rosell, and the heads of the units against this scourge dependent on the nine sub-delegations in Castilla and León, has reported the arrest of a 40-year-old man for a crime of sexual assault on a minor.

Barcones, in statements collected by Europa Press, has added that the alleged perpetrator is already at the disposal of the judicial authority and, therefore, has been cautious when providing more details that could hinder the investigation and create more pain for the alleged victim.
