The emergency services have finished with the rescue of the workers who this Friday were trapped in the remains of one of the stages of the O Son do Camiño music festival in Santiago de Compostela.
According to the first information reported by the emergency services, all the trapped workers were rescued in about an hour and, so far, four injuries have been confirmed, of which at least one of them is in serious condition.
The incident occurred minutes before 1:00 p.m. this Friday during the assembly process of the structure. Part of the stage collapsed and several workers were trapped, so numerous emergency means were mobilized for the rescue.
Members of the Santiago Fire Department, the Local and National Police and the Galician Health Emergency Service traveled to the scene with several ambulances.
One worker was evacuated by helicopter to the University Clinical Hospital of Santiago and others were transferred by ambulance.
The structure of what will be the main stage of the festival collapsed, which will be held next week, between June 16 and 18, in Monte do Gozo, on the outskirts of Santiago de Compostela.
