There are many things happening in Bethesda’s latest update.
Bethesda today launched the 28th update to Fallout76 with Steel Reign. This brings an end of the Brotherhood of Steel storyline, and introduces legendary crafting.
This update is decently sized and contains a lot to digest. The Brotherhood of Steel arc is closed with the Steel Reign questline. Steel Dawn continues the story. The new quests can be completed as long as your level 20 is attained and you have completed “The Best Defence”.
A legendary crafting system has been added to the game, which allows you to upgrade your regular items into legendary versions or re-roll stats for existing legendaries. It can also be used to upgrade or lower the star rating for your legendary items. A higher-star Legendary Upgrade will increase the item’s star rating and reroll attributes. Lower-star upgrades will lower it with rerolled attributes. Bethesda also added some new attributes and buffing and nerfing some of the existing ones. K.D. Inkwell is back after her stint with Steel Dawn. This time she is tasked with saving a strange, messed up future in which dolphin-human hybrids have turned the remaining humans into brainless goons. There are 100 ranks available, and you can earn rewards along the way.
Minerva, a new vendor, is coming to Minerva’s Emporium. She will also be present at Minerva’s Big Sale. The first will run Monday through Wednesday while the Big Sale will run Thursday through Monday. You can trade for gold bullion by grabbing regularly changing items.
Bethesda also increased the wallet currency cap, taking the maximum caps from 30,000 up to 40,000. The daily vendor limit for gold bullion has increased to 400 and the player cap has risen to 10,000. Scrip now has a daily vendor limit of 300. Players can now carry up to 5,000. There are new rewards for Meat Week, including an increase in C.A.M.P slots as well as S.P.E.C.I.A.L loadsouts. A bunch of bugs have been squashed as well, as usual.
Depending on where your game was downloaded, the update size can vary a little.
