Mario & Luigi: Brothership is almost here, and we couldn’t be more excited. We were fortunate enough to try out the newest game in the quirky RPG series, and we captured 15 minutes of fresh gameplay footage for you to enjoy the Brothers in action.

The video highlights showcase an early part of the game, where Mario & Luigi embark on a mission to save two different islands in an effort to bring together the divided nation of Concordia. You’ll witness plenty of overworld exploration, engaging turn-based battles with unique button inputs for the Bros, and the classic dry humor that fans have come to love from the series’ previous titles on the Game Boy Advance and Nintendo DS.

In addition to the gameplay, you’ll also get a closer look at the updated art style, featuring the iconic plumbing duo in higher detail than ever before. It’s been a long time coming, but it looks like this new installment will be worth the wait.

If the gameplay footage has piqued your interest and you’re eager to learn more about our hands-on experience with Brothership, be sure to check out our detailed preview (spoiler alert: we’re loving what we’ve seen so far).
