It may not be the best time for Blizzard content to be hyped up.
Earlier this week, the state of California filed a lawsuit against Activision Blizzard for fostering a “frat boy” culture of discrimination, harassment, and gendered pay gaps. Although the publisher denied the allegations, it acknowledged that this may not be the best time for excitement about a new Overwatch map.
According to Dexerto’s article (via Eurogamer), Blizzard had planned to announce Malevento, a new deathmatch map, in surprise PTR updates yesterday. The small town of Malevento, which is described as one the most lively maps in the game’s game, would host a secret Talon base and would be arriving in the game on August 17.
