Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said today that Ukraine’s arms requests are a provocation to involve the West in military actions taking place in that country.
“This is a direct provocation that seeks to involve the West in military actions,” Lavrov said in Riyadh at a news conference broadcast on Russian public television from Saudi Arabia, over repeated calls by kyiv to be supplied with weapons.

“There are politicians who are ready for this madness (to get involved in military actions in Ukraine) to satisfy their ambitions. But the serious countries of the European Union fully understand the inadmissibility of such scenarios,” he stressed.
