On the occasion of the celebration of World Recycling Day, Editorial Unit today launches a campaign through the newspapers EL MUNDO, MARCA and EXPANSIÓN that calls for accelerating the transition towards a circular economy and thus achieving a more sustainable world.
For this reason, the front and back covers of the three publications are dyed blue this Monday -in an action carried out in collaboration with Solán de Cabras- to remind readers, advertisers and society in general that the Grupo Unidad Editorial’s newspapers are printed in recycled paper.
The use of this material reduces the emissions of polluting gases that cause the greenhouse effect by 74%, according to data from the Ministry for the Ecological Transition and the Demographic Challenge.
World Recycling Day was established in 2005 by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (Unesco), with the aim of reducing the volume of waste generated and thus minimizing the impact of the footprint. of carbon.
