Firaxis Games is best-known for its Civilization series and XCOM. They are currently seeking a number of new employees, including a narrative leader with a passion for world history. It doesn’t say which game the listing would be for. The only thing that is stated is that it would be for the studio’s next AAA strategy title. Firaxis is looking for a narrative lead and several programmers.
Civilization 6 seemed to definitely wrap up earlier this year, with the release of the Anthology Edition in June. This edition includes both major expansion packs for Gathering Storm and Rise and Fall as well as additional DLC content packs. It seems reasonable to speculate that Civilization 7 could be in development, given that the sixth installment in the series is not being developed any further. Perhaps we will see a different type of historical strategy game than the one that Sid Meier is known for?
