The story manager of Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, whose direct composing credits extend back into Assassin’s Creed: Revelations, has abandoned Ubisoft.
Darby McDevitt declared his death by Ubisoft Montreal on his private Twitter accounts, thanking supporters for linking him in over a decade of Assassin experiences. Between Revelations and Valhalla, McDevitt was also the direct scriptwriter for Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag, also led to the writing, study and concept of Assassin’s Creed Origins. In addition to that, he had been direct scriptwriter for Assassin’s Creed: Embers, the brief movie which functioned as a last farewell to renaissance hero Ezio Auditore.
“After 10 decades, Darby McDevitt chose to depart Ubisoft to pursue a new experience,” an Ubisoft spokesperson said in a statement given to Eurogamer. “Through the years he has motivated us with his knack for story, crafting amazing tales and bringing memorable characters .
McDevitt gave no sign of where his”new experience” will take himwe do understand that Amazon Games declared a brand new studio in Montreal using a lot of ex-Rainbow Six Siege programmers earlier this week, but that may just be a coincidence. With all these credits on several of the most-loved Assassin’s Creed tales lately, he would be a welcome addition to any significant programmer – assuming McDevitt’s remaining AAA games area in any way.
