More than 127,500 Ukrainian refugees have already received temporary protection in Spain, granted by the Office of Asylum and Refuge (OAR) of the Ministry of the Interior, as reported by this Government department on Monday.

In addition, said office has processed a total of 46,871 applications for international protection during this 2022, among which those presented by Venezuelan and Colombian citizens stand out.

With the figures released by the Ministry of the Interior, Spain has become one of the countries that has granted the most temporary protections to Ukrainian citizens fleeing the war in their country since last February.

The head of the department, Fernando Grande-Marlaska, presented this Monday, together with the president of the Post Office, Juan Manuel Serrano, the stamp that commemorates the 30th anniversary of the creation of the Asylum and Refuge Office, which has processed a total of 586,595 applications of international protection in its history.
