The Minister of the Rural Environment of the Xunta, José González, has affirmed this Sunday that Galicia lives “a day for hope” since the fires are already perimeter and the work is focused on “no reproductions”.

Regarding the three fires with risk to population centers in the province of Lugo, one in A Pobra do Brollón and another two in Folgoso do Courel, he has detailed that “in those villages the danger has already passed” and “there is no possibility that it will return to reproduce the fire” against those nuclei.
He explained that more than two hundred people from the firefighting teams work in the area, in addition to sixty members of the Military Emergency Unit and thirty aerial means, including one who came from Zaragoza to help.
The technician Ramón Recamán has clarified that 90% of the perimeters are fenced, so he hopes that during today’s session all the fires will be stabilized, although there is a significant difficulty due to the orography, with areas of difficult access.
