Third-person action-adventure game Kena: Bridge of Spirits created a real impression as it was declared in June 2020 throughout a PlayStation 5 show event. What she discovers, however, is an overgrown forest that has entrapped drifting spirits called the Rot. By discovering and freeing them she’ll acquire powerful abilities, alter the world , and ultimately lift the curse that’s darkened the deserted village.
It was also confirmed for PC by way of this Epic Games Store, and was scheduled to be out later that year. In September, however, it was pushed to early 2021 due to the difficulties involved in working at home during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Now, programmer Ember Labs rolled out a new gameplay trailer during Sony’s State of Play occasion, giving us another look at the planet Kena will investigate and the critters she’ll fight on her travels. We also finally got a updated release date. It is likely to take a bit longer than anticipated –Q3 rather than Q1–but Kena: Bridge of Spirits is now scheduled to launch on August 24.
