Zacharopoulou, 46, a former European deputy from Emmanuel Macron’s party, has led a Secretary of State under the French Foreign Ministry for a month.

The gynecologist was known for having been in charge of a treatment project on endometriosis, delivered to Macron this year.

This condition is chronic and affects 10% of women of childbearing age and causes a lot of pain during menstruation and ovulation.
