SNK vs. Capcom SVC Chaos, a retro fighting game, recently received an update that brings new features and bug fixes. The update, version 1.02, is now available on PS4 and Switch, following its release on Steam and GOG.
Some of the key features included in this update are the addition of a “Practice” setting in the Options menu, allowing players to enable hitboxes in Practice Mode only. Other improvements include infinite continues in one-player arcade mode, a longer character select timer, and the ability to cycle back to attract mode if idle on the title splash screen.
Bug fixes in this update address issues such as scaling of scanlines in STRETCH mode, rare crashes related to spectating challenges and rapid Gallery use, and corrections to hitbox colors. Additionally, the reporting of Draw/Time Out games in the online win/loss tally has been corrected.
While SNK vs. Capcom SVC Chaos may not have received the highest ratings, it remains a significant part of fighting game history. This update comes on the heels of an update to the Marvel vs. Capcom Fighting Collection.
