Level-5 made a big splash in the West with the release of Megaton Musashi W: Wired earlier this year. Now, the game is getting a major update called the ‘Megarobo Batroseum’ update, set to launch on Switch on November 26th.
The biggest addition in this update is the new online PvP mode, also named ‘Megarobo Batroseum’. In this mode, players can choose a mech from a set of pre-sets and jump straight into battle. You can play with friends or join rooms with other players based on your preferred match rules. Additionally, new Battle Royale and Team Battle modes have been added for one-on-one duels or chaotic free-for-alls. The update also includes new in-game items to boost stats and the ‘Sengi’ system, which gives each unit a unique ability that can be developed during battles.
But wait, there’s more! The ‘Megarobo Batroseum’ update also brings new stages and pilots to the game. These pilots can be used in select story missions and online play, including the PvP mode.
All these exciting additions are highlighted in the update trailer, but you can find a full list of new features on the Megaton Musashi website as well.
Nintendo Life had a positive experience with Megaton Musashi W: Wired when it first launched on Switch. In their review, they praised the game as “a strong return to form for Level-5, offering up addictive mech-battling action that feels like the most slept-on release of the year”.
If you’re a fan of Megaton Musashi W: Wired, this update is definitely something to look forward to. Are you excited about the new online PvP mode and other additions? Share your thoughts in the comments below.
