Brace Yourself Games, the developer behind popular titles like Crypt of the NecroDancer and Cadence of Hyrule, has revealed that their new rhythm game, Rift of the NecroDancer, is set to be released on February 5th, 2025. This game was initially announced for the Switch back in 2023 during an Indie Direct, but has faced some delays since then. The developer also went through some layoffs during this time, as well as releasing additional DLC for Crypt of the NecroDancer earlier this year.
Rift of the NecroDancer promises an exciting gameplay experience, combining elements of Guitar Hero and Rhythm Heaven. Players will join Cadence on a journey through the modern world, where they must navigate through rifts that have torn her life apart. Some key features of the game include Rift Mode, Mini Game Mode, Boss Battles Mode, a new soundtrack by Danny Baranowsky, mod support, online leaderboards, and more.
While the official release date is still a few months away, players can already try out a demo of the game on PC via Steam. Are you excited to give Rift of the NecroDancer a try when it launches on the Switch next year? Share your thoughts in the comments below.
