US authorities have identified a 42-year-old woman as the daughter of a Florida couple who had been reported missing after the apparent murder of her parents four decades ago, Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton announced Thursday.
‘Baby Holly’, as the daughter of Tina Gail Linn Clouse and Harold Dean Clouse was identified, has been located, is fine and is now 42 years old, a statement from the Prosecutor’s Office has specified.
His parents disappeared in 1980 and months later the remains of two people were found in a wooded area of Houston (Texas) who turned out to be those of the couple, as they were identified last year thanks to the use of new genetic technology.
Paxton’s office indicated that last year the couple’s families learned that the two bodies found in Houston were those of Tina and Dean, and began the investigation to determine what had happened to the girl, of which they had not been reported. found the remains.
“Holly has been notified of the identities of her biological relatives and has been in contact with her extended biological family and looks forward to meeting them personally soon,” the prosecution said.
John Bischoff of the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children said he was excited because “now Holly will have the opportunity to connect with her biological family who have been searching for her for so long.”
Donna Casasanta, Holly’s grandmother, said she has prayed for more than 40 years for an answer “and the Lord has revealed part of it, we have found Holly.”
Shery Linn Green, Holly’s mother’s sister, said she believes “Tina is finally resting in peace knowing her Holly is going to be reunited with her family. It’s a relief knowing Holly is alive and has been well cared for.”
