While the team was careful not to confirm an official release date at that time, a cryptic message from project manager Dean Carter earlier today hinted that the release date might be sooner than expected. Fans speculated that the mod would be dropping the next day after Carter shared an original song from the game’s soundtrack titled “I Just Can’t Wait (For Tomorrow)” along with a message to “Stay safe and remember. Mind the gap.” Finally, Carter confirmed to Inverse that Fallout: London will indeed be releasing tomorrow, barring any unforeseen events.
This release marks the culmination of a five-year project for Team FOLON. The mod is essentially its own standalone game, with a new setting created from scratch by the developers, unique quests, voice-acted characters (including a former British Speaker of the House,) original music, and much more. Earlier this year, the future of the mod was uncertain when Bethesda released a next-gen update for Fallout 4 to coincide with the Amazon series. Team FOLON had to delay the project indefinitely as the update was likely to break Fallout: London. Players will need to revert their copies of Fallout 4 to a version prior to the next-gen update in order to play the mod.
