Pokémon Scarlet & Violet is marking its two-year anniversary with a series of exciting in-game events, leading up to the highly anticipated arrival of shiny Rayquaza. This special black-colored Rayquaza will only be available in the game from December 20, 2024, to January 5, 2025, during a limited-time 5-Star Tera Raid Battle.
Before the shiny Rayquaza event kicks off, players can participate in a variety of events happening in Paldea, Kitakami, and the Blueberry Academy. From November 29 to December 19, three sets of Tera Raid Battle Events will be held. The first set will feature Corviknight and Boltund until December 5, followed by Azumarill and Cloyster until December 12, and finally, Annihilape and Kingler until December 19.
During the same period, players can also encounter three Mass Outbreaks in each region. Paldea will see Tinkatink with the Ferocious Mark until December 5, Kitakami will have Wooper outbreaks with the Absent-Minded Mark until December 12, and the Blueberry Academy will feature Girafarig outbreaks with the Intellectual Mark until December 19.
In addition to shiny Rayquaza, players can also encounter other featured Pokémon like Cottonee in Paldea, Carbink in Kitakami, and Fraxure in the Blueberry Academy. To catch all these Pokémon, players will need The Teal Mask and The Indigo Disk DLC.
For those looking to level up quickly, Chansey will be appearing in mass outbreaks across Paldea throughout the event. Furthermore, shiny Rayquaza will be part of a Multi Battle campaign in Pokémon UNITE in December, adding to the excitement of this special event.
As players gear up to capture shiny Rayquaza in Pokémon Scarlet & Violet, it’s hard to believe that the game is already two years old. Are you ready to take on this challenge and add the stunning shiny Rayquaza to your collection? Share your thoughts and plans in the comments below.
